Utah Race Series

Site needs new management

Hey all,

Between work, school, a lack of racing and such I have been heavily neglecting the site and the news. Doc Alvey being broken and not racing either that left.. well.. There is nobody to keep things up to date and provide good informations. If someone is motivated and wants to reshape this place and get it going for next yeat let me know and I'll give you all the administrative privileges and FTP access.

Deer Valley NCS. A Utah sweep

Sure it was the same old beaten course. A somewhat deserted national with few big time pros. Boring?... Not so much!. Seeing the course for the first time as a spectator I spent the whole weekend thinking how much fun I would have had on the course but another note It was fun to see a Utah contingent mostly on fire!

Leov Won in 3:01 followed by a few fast kiwis
but then it was a pack of Utahns:

Wolf Mtn Mayhem Results

Round #2 of the Utah State DH series was at Wolf Mtn this past weekend.

2008 Angel Fire Chile Challenge Update

In the midst of 30 degree temps and 2 inches of snow on the course, it looks like Utah has a future in DH racing. Mitch Ropelato(Fly/Intense) wins Jr X four-cross. Naish Ulmer(Go-Ride/Ventana) wins Jr X Super D.

Brief Utahn Kain Leonard took 5th in Pro 4x, Logan Bingelli 15th.

Bountiful B Downhill Race

It's time for the Utah series to get started up for 2008! Round 1 is in just a few weeks with the 7th annual Bountiful Bomber on June 1st, sponsored by Go-ride, Salamander, Red Bull, Cannondale, Zeal, Lizard Skins, Zotes, Fox, and Static. Click below for more details......

Sea Otter 2008

It sounds like the weather has held up a bit better this year. Dual Slalom racing is done. Mitch Ropelato 2nd in Jr X, Naish Ulmer 6th in Jr X, Tony Sams 11th 30-39X, Doc 7th 40-49X, Halverson 3rd in 30-39X DH hardtail.

The rest of the DH classes go today, and I'll post some more results when I get them.

2008 Utah State Gravity Series

Ron has sent out the schedule for the 2008 Utah State Gravity Series. The '08 schedule currently includes 8 races (2 at Pomerelle) and 2 new venues. Events will include DH, SuperD, and DS/4X. The series will likely count your best 6-7 of the 8 races towards final series standings (TBD). Click below for the schedule........

2008 Mountain States Cup Series Scedule Announced

The emails keep pouring in. Seems like everyone wants to hear about what's on deck for 2008. There are a few details left to finalize, but I don't see any reason why we can't publish what we know and fill in the blanks as that info becomes available. This'll help those folks that need to plan vacation time or days off from work. ALL of this is subject to change of course, but it's pretty solid. Hope you like it...
